Job

“You don’t have to go to work. You get to.”

It’s easy to call it a grind. The alarm, the commute, the same conversations, the same tasks. But somewhere along the way we forgot…a lot of people would trade places with you in a heartbeat.

And here’s the other thing nobody tells you: your job isn’t really the job title on the paperwork. Your actual job, the one that matters, is just being available. Available for the person who needs a hand, an ear, a favor, a minute of your time. That’s the work underneath the work.

Show up for that job and the other one gets a whole lot lighter.
