Inclusion

“An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.”
~ Martin Luther King Jr. ~

Read that one again…slowly…because it’s easy to miss.

It sounds like something you’d put on a motivational poster and walk right past. But sit with it for a second.

Dr. King isn’t saying be a better person. He’s saying you haven’t even started yet. Not until you look up from your own world and let somebody else’s world matter to you.

That’s inclusion. Not a policy. Not a program. Just the simple, radical act of opening the circle a little wider.

Look up. Look around. Let somebody else’s world matter today.
