Journey

“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction not a destination.”
~ Carl Rogers ~

Nobody ever really arrives. Not really. You hit one goal and there’s already another one waiting on the other side of it. The house, the promotion, the number on the scale…it’s never actually the finish line you thought it’d be.

So maybe the trick isn’t getting somewhere. Maybe it’s just picking a good direction and enjoying the walk. Slow down enough to notice what’s actually around you instead of just what’s up ahead.

The road doesn’t need an ending to be worth walking.

“Gratitude turns what we have into enough.”~Anonymous~ Before you list what’s missing, list what’s already here. The coffee that was hot. The sun came up. The knees that still bend. Small stuff, easy to skip past on the way to the big complaint. Gratitude isn’t pretending everything’s fine. It’s just refusing to let the little…good…

“Let That Shit Go.”~The Dude~ Sometimes, the only word that can be used to accurately describe all the unnecessary garbage we tend to carry around. Because everybody — every single person — is carrying something they should have put down a long time ago. A grudge. A story. A version of themselves that doesn’t fit…
