Letting Go

“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change…
…courage to change the things I can…
…and the wisdom to know the difference.”
~ Serenity Prayer, Reinhold Niebuhr (common version) ~

Letting go doesn’t mean giving up. It doesn’t mean throwing in the towel.

It means loosening our grip. Not everything has to go a certain way, and everybody’s got an opinion on everything…believe me, they do.

Notice the prayer doesn’t say quit. It says courage to change what we can. Then we let the rest go, and stay open to whatever shows up.

Hard to hold a cup of coffee with a clenched fist.
