Full Disclosure

“Only your real friends will tell you when your face is dirty.”
~Sicilian Proverb~

My brain is the perfect business. One half manufactures nonsense, while the other half buys it all.

We all do it. We spin our own story, sell it to ourselves, and then wonder why nothing changes.

That’s where Mama Bear comes in.

The people closest to us see what we can’t — or won’t. And the real ones aren’t afraid to say it out loud. Not to hurt you. Because they love you enough to tell you the truth when you won’t tell it to yourself.

That’s Full Disclosure.

The Dude 🐸

Thought for the Day
Who in your life tells you the truth? And when’s the last time you actually listened?

“Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid.”~ Proverbs 12:1 (NIV) ~ Yep. That’s in the Bible. It really says stupid. • The Meaning You Give It

“The meaning of life is to give life meaning.”~Viktor Frankl~ Nobody hands you meaning. You make it. Frankl figured this out the hard way — surviving concentration camps, watching everything stripped away except one thing nobody could touch: his ability to choose what any of it meant to him. You’ve got that same freedom, minus…

  • Grit

“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence.”~Calvin Coolidge~ There’s a tree that grows sideways out of a crack in solid rock. “We have two ears and one mouth so we can listen twice as much as we speak.”~ Zeno of Citium (paraphrase, per Diogenes Laërtius) ~ Two ears. One mouth. Somebody did the math a long time ago. “Time heals what reason cannot.”~ Seneca ~ Somebody hurt you. Maybe a long time ago. Maybe last week. Maybe you’re still not sure what exactly happened — just that something in you went sideways and hasn’t quite come back yet. You’ve talked about it. Thought about it. Looked at it from every angle.
